Quality
The Riso Valle label complies with high quality standards to ensure that there is no more than 5% breakage of, or impurities within the rice. The rice does not contain preservatives or additives and is gluten free.
Packaging and Shelf Life
The Riso Valle arborio rice is packaged in smart poly packaging with a firm double layered bottom. Protective atmosphere packaging (treated with carbon dioxide to suppress humidity and therefore ability for bacterial growth) is employed providing a longer shelf life and improved levels of freshness even after the package has been opened.
Another benefit of this packaging method is that the rice is not stressed by machines during packaging, a problem which can occur when using vacuum packing techniques. The individual grains therefore remain whole and their colour unaltered.
This packaging technique decreases the stock loss which occurs when vacuum seals are broken.
